Past Sans Souci Brides - cake question (Or if you've been to a wedding there)

Anybody that has already had their wedding at Sans Souci?

Though I LOVE the place, and the food (tasting was amazing), the only thing that bugs me is that they do not do a cake tasting.

We picked our cake this past weekend -

SIDENOTE - I also not impressed with how that meeting went, she basically gave us the book with 14 cakes in it, and said 'pick one', didn't show us upgrades or anything. (Found out recently the woman I booked it with is no longer there, so this was a different manager we met with)

ANYWAYS, we picked a chocolate cake, with tiramisu custard filling, and buttercream frosting.

I'd just like to know.....anybody that got married there, or has been to a wedding there, how was the cake????? Please help calm my nerves.

To make you feel a little better.....I don't know of ANY RH's that let you taste the cake....

I could be totally wrong, but I don't think that its standard procedure to do that...?

I agree that it's not standard procedure... but my hall has tastings every 3-4 months and they always have a tasting cake there. Last week, there were 3 different cake types, each with two different fillings you could try.

However, this isn't the norm.
