did anyone see anything on the news about this? they evacuated the station around 5 suspended all bus and ferry service and i can't find any info about it anywhere. i got home too late to catch the 6:00 news and was just wondering if anyone heard what happened. i'm so curious.

how did you hear about this? are you sure it's not a rumor?
there isn't anything on the news or anything online about this at all, and usually the media would be all over this in seconds like flies on you-know-what!

he should be fine everything opened up again around 6.
i was in hoboken when it happened, but there was no info from anyone about what caused the closing. and i saw the cbs truck there, but nothing on their website. maybe it was just a false alarm so they didn't bother to report it?

could be, i've seen it happen before...
come to think of it, i found it odd that there was a lot of traffic and people walking by my building (we are right near the PATH) and i couldn't get into the garage from the side i normally do and found it to be strange (i thought it was an accident). this was a little after 6:00...hmm...

DH was on the PATH when they closed Hoboken terminal so his PATH train went to Pavonia-Newport instead. So he called me to see if I heard anything. (pretty scary considering the same thing happened 9/11, he was on the PATH to WTC and they diverted it to Christopher, no one knew what was going on) The only info I could find was on 880AM.
It was a suspicious package and the terminal was evacuated. It turned out to be nothing and they reopened around 6pm.
I'm sure alot of trains out of Hoboken have been messed up because of it.
