Patken

I have seen Patken's work through my reception hall (Villa Lombardis) and I am in love. My FH and I plan on going to look at the studio and discuss details now because we heard that they are already booking for 2005! I have been recommended to use Doug, but I also have heard wonderful things about Steve. Anyone who has used these photographers, I would appreciate hearing about your experiences and some photos would be great if possible! Also any info on price range and packages would be great as well. Thanks a million!

Hi Bri Bri.
I booked Patken for my upcoming May Wedding.
We chose Steve, I am in love with his work!
Heres 2 of my engagement pics Steve took in July.
Price was somewhere near $3k.

I had to shrink these to fit.
I have more pics also. Steve is really original. I suggest you go into their studio and look at some albums, pick the albums you like and ask who did them, thats what we did and it wound it was Steve's work!

When we checked out Patken, his mother, who was the one who met with us (it truly is a family owned and operated company) says Doug costs extra $$ to book. I forget how much, it was so long ago, but I think it was 1-2 thousand extra? Maybe some other Patken brides can clarify this...

paiz, that may be correct because doug is the owner, but i am not sure.
no offense to doug, he is an EXCELLENT photographer, I just like steve's work better. they have different styles.

We went to see Patken this afternoon (we met with Nadira) and we absolutely fell in love!! They're pictures are AWESOME!! And we really liked their video too. My Fh is a commercial editor, so he's really really picky, so for him to like it it must be good! So now it's between Cassarino's and Patken. I think we're leaning more towards Patken though.

Jenn: I have a question for you. Nadira told us that our photgrapher would be picked by the owner (I don't remember his name-he'll be taking our e-pics) depending on what our personalities are and who he thinks would be better for us. Is that how your photgrapher was picked? That's the only
thing I'm kind of weary about.

It is true about Doug. I had heard he was good and asked about him and she (Tina) said he was I think about $1500 - $2000 more.

We used them for our September 27th wedding.
I didn't like the finding out the photographer at the last minute thing either. I just had to trust Doug and know that he wouldn't have bad photographers working for him. They are his business.
We had Frank and I love the proofs.
I posted a bunch the other day if you want to see them.
We were going to pay extra for Doug but he wasn't available. Actually, I'm glad, Frank did a great job.

Debbus: Thanks! You're pics are beautiful. Congrats on your wedding
If we decide to book them, we're going to bring this up to them and tell them what photographer WE want, not what they want to give us. I'm sure that all their photographers are good, but they all must have different styles. And I really don't feel like getting stuck with a photographer that is not OUR style. I will keep you all updated!

I used Steve for my wedding. I also got married at Villa Lombardi's. You WILL NOT be dissappointed.
I have pics on www.ultimatewedding.com in my journal.
I thought Steve was so great to work with.
