I absolutely looove patken's work & my future sis in law used them. But tonight we met them both at our showcase tonight & FH is leaning toard A.D.A I feel because the sales people from patken didn't do it for him I guess.. We also got $300 off for just making the appointment with Patken which I also thought was good...Just wanted to get everyone's feedback & experiences with either or or both. Thanks so much!!

I say Patken, but I'm bias! We have a lot of friends/family who have used them in the past and their pics are amazing. Just make sure you have them add on the contract the cd of pics from your engagement shoot. We were just talking about this on the 09 boards and most girls didn't add it, including myself, and they will try to sell you the cd for like $75 after you go for the pics! HTH!!

Re: PATKEN or A.D.A Photography??
we met with both. FH was not happy with ada at all. we made it a point to tell ada that they were the first photographer we had seen. they rushed us. fh was not a fan of paying in full before we get our proofs. plus they said it could take more than six months to get our albums. the second we walked into patken i knew we were in trouble. fh fell in love with their work in two seconds. we felt we got a good deal from patken as well. hth

Exactly how we felt..plus the ADA lady we met with was FLAKY!!! not that she is a photographer, but it just wasn't a great presentation..
We just had a feeling about Patken when we walked in...

Re: PATKEN or A.D.A Photography??
I was in a wedding party where they used ADA and the bride had to tell the photgrapher the WHOLE day what shots to do next- it was very annoying. there was just no energy with them at all, but her pics came out nice

We are using ADA, and so far I am very happy with them. We got our Epics done last year and they did a really nice job.

Re: PATKEN or A.D.A Photography??
Both companies are recommended by MANY different catering halls.
We are using ADA. My friend used Patken and her photographer got annoyed that her family and friends were also taking pics. On the contrary, she is not a picture person and was really happy that the photographer wanted to take most of the pictures before the wedding began. Other pictures were taken by request.
If you chose Patken, my only suggestion is to make sure they get closing shot pics. Her last pic of the night was the garter toss. The photographer left as soon as it was done.
ADA has three offices. Anthony from Selden has been PHENOMENAL!!!! I would highly recommend him. I love taking pictures and was really surprised to find someone that made me feel so comfortable about photography.
Without a doubt, ADA is one of our favorite vendors. We are meeting with them again next week to discuss our e-shots.
Best of luck with whomever you decide.

Re: PATKEN or A.D.A Photography??
We met with both Patken and ADA....Fh was impressed with a book that he had seen of ADA's and wanted to check them out...Well when we got there the photographer hit on me (in front of fh! ) then proceeded to tell us that he was giving us a 'special' deal and no one else could know about it. We just found that he was unprofessional all around and did not book with them!
Patken on the other hand was very nice but they quoted us a little high so we didnt go with them. But I liked their pictures

I used Patken and my photographer actually took a picture with my uncle's camera, lol. She stayed for the entire wedding, as well. I have seen my DH's friend's wedding pics from ADA. While they are very nice, I think Patken blows them away. The poses, the touch-ups (always a good thing), the photoshop of selective images really stands apart from ADA. HTH...

We're using Patken...I think their work is great. I know a few family members and friends that have used them and their albums are beautiful. I really don't know much about ADA.

My sister used Patken and was happy with her pics. The only thing I didnt like was that she didnt get the rights to her photos an all the proofs were stamped, so she couldnt frame them etc.

we used patken, and got our proofs on DVD a year after our wedding. the proofs on the DVD are not stamped, and you can do whatever you like with them.
we requested Steve and loved him. Our pics are beautiful, and Steve is very fun and easy to work with.
