Paula Young - makeup

Hi guys. I know I got Paula's name and number off this site a long time ago and finally got around to calling her. Shes in Oceanside, and does in home the day of the wedding. I have a trial set up with her in about two weeks. If anyone has used her, or knows of her, please post. The trial is 25$ and the makeup is $200 day of (!!) this is so high because no one else in my BP is getting done....thanks!

$200 seems high to me. But go to the trial and see how it is. If you like her work, then its worth it.

That is very high for makeup alone but if she is great - its worth it.

$200 seems high to me, too. My Mom used Paula on my wedding day last year. She did a fabulous job. But, she was also supposed to do my Grandmother's make-up. It ended up not happening b/c my grandparents were late getting to my house. This translated to Paula loosing money b/c only my Mom got makeup done.

Sounds to me like Paula is pricing her services to protect her from loosing a lot of money due to the fact that she may only be making up one bride (or bride's Mom) per day.

Go to the trial and see what you think. It might be worth it to you if you like the results! Good luck.

The day of may be more expensive then most, but the trial is cheaper -- add up both and it works out to be close enough in my opinion. I say, don't stress over saving $25 if you feel confident she'll do a great job. Your piece of mind is worth that!!!

i had a trial done with paul and she is very good. she keeps to your style. she too told me about the prices of the makeup, but luckily its me plus two getting ours done so its $125 for me and $50 for the girls. but she is very good so...
