need your help with finding a good price for this dress. i have 5BM and paying 1/2 of the dress for 4 girls and paying for all of it for one girl (my little cousin). i called a bunch of places but all are charging about $200+/-. anyone know of a cheap places cuz man, they add up!
not sure if the pic shows up but it's bill levkoff #221 in EURO BERRY.

have you tried netbride.com or gownfind.com? I know girls on here have gotten great prices from them. I also got a good deal with Burton's Bridal in Huntington and if they'll still order the dresses for you even if they don't normally carry that particular style.

thanks! But kinda iffy about buying from online cuz usually shops usually quote higer for alternation if the dress is not order from them. looking for a place that will do the alternation as well. i wil try burton tho! thanks!

Try RK Bridal in Manhattan, if you are not having the dresses altered there, there are big discounts. They will give you a price over the phone.

I bought a BM dress on line for my friends wedding and it was a good price and just got alterations done at my local dry cleaner, they did an awesome job and it was not expensive, so having alterations done elsewhere can be a good option.
We had used Gownsales.com and I thikn I paid like $126 after shipping for a Bill Levkoff dress.

It wouldn't hurt to get a quote from one of those places listed above and then bring it into a bridal shop, a lot of them price match. Then you can get the alterations done at the bridal shop.
Or, you could just order it from online or RK and have them go to a dry cleaner or a tailor for alterations. I usually just go to my dry cleaner for alterations for bridesmaids dresses.

I got mine from houseofbrides.com Mine were quoted over $200 and I got them for $139.
If you get them altered at a dressmaker, not a bridal shop, you'll save lots of money. Not sure where you live, but Filomena in Coram is amazing! She's done dresses for me before and is now working on my gown.

try bridal reflections in carle place. They had lots of dresses under $200, and they cap alterations at $50. And you can definately get a discount if you remember to ask! My girls ended up paying $140. They had a great selection!

I too was getting $200 quotes for my bm bill levkoff dresses. I ordered the dresses from gownfind.com at $138 each. Even though she has a website, phyllis works out of her home in northport. She has a studio there where you can try dresses on and get alterations. I highly suggest giving her a call to get a quote.

i found a place that quoted me $130 plus $50. is that expensive for alternation for a BM dress?? the others, with alternations, comes to about $200.

i called and spoke with phyllis. she did give me really good price and is very seriously considering her. she also give me an alternation rate, but how will the BM get fitted? are we going to her home to get measure and fitted after the alternation?? help! anyone else try www.gownfind.com??

Yes she will measure them at her house and do the alterations at her house. She is a dressmaker and has benn doing alterations for years. I orderd my dress, MOB dress and bridesmaids dress for her and she saved me a ton!!! I went and found a dress in a salon that I liked and had her give me a price quote. SHe even does invites and shoes!!
