Is it rude not to offer to pay for BM hair for your wedding?
I wanted to get them gifts rather than just paying for their hair which will disappear after the wedding. I was thinking of offering to pay for their tips for the hairdresser. What do you all think?

Re: Paying for BM hair
I didn't pay for my BM's hair or make up.
I did get them really good BM gifts though!
No worries...just get them a gift..let them worry about their own hair.

Re: Paying for BM hair
I don't think it's necessary to pay although if you're requiring them to get their hair done I think it's a nice thing to do and a little rude not to pay. If you're letting them do what they want then I think just the gift is fine!

Re: Paying for BM hair
I was considering paying for the hair of my BMs and actually asked my MOH and another bridesmaid their thoughts on whether I should or shouldnt....they told me absolutely not! LOL
They made some good points being that it's my wedding and if I want their hair up then that's what I want they all should do it but they have the choice of where to get it done....they can use the person I'm using for x amt or they can go and spend $20 somewhere, or $200 somewhere else, or have their mom put it up for them. Their choice....

Re: Paying for BM hair
It's not rude. I thought of doing it but decided it would be more cost effective for me to get them each a nice jewelry set that they can keep. I let my girls know that I was having hair and makeup come to me and that if they wanted to use their services they could and I let them know what the prices were.

Re: Paying for BM hair
I dont think its rude unless requiring them to get their hair done. I told my bridesmaids I want their hair pulled back off their face since we are taking pictures at the beach so Im matching my girls 50 dollars but I only have 7 bms but i got each girls gifts but it was in my budget if you dont have the budget really dont stress it.

Re: Paying for BM hair
I didn't offer to pay for them nor did I request they have it done. 2 of the 3 know what needs to be done and the other, I may just poke with a sharp blunt object. I am taking them (3) to brunch at the Greenwich Hyatt Regency and will give them their gifts.
