Joe wants the whole balance a week before and FH and I are kinda
Not that I don't have the utmost confidence in Camelot, but what if something goes wrong and we already paid by bank check? There's no way to dispute anything.

Re: Paying for limos?
Joe told us the same and I'm not thrilled with the idea. Did he say it had to be a bank check, not credit card? I can't seem to remember.

No, it can be any form of payment other than personal check within 1 month of the wedding. If you pay the balance more than 1 month before the event, you can pay any form including personal check. FH just prefers a bank check for these larger payment amounts, we have about a $1500 balance.

You'd have more recourse if you pay by credit card.

You can pay by CC, but they charge you a fee for it at Camelot to pay your balance

Re: Paying for limos?
And is it really any different than paying for the flowers the week ahead, or your balance at the RH?

Re: Paying for limos?
We paid everything in full the week before the wedding. I did not use Camelot. I think it's pretty standard.

Re: Paying for limos?
I believe it's in our contract that the balance is due 1-2 weeks before the wedding date.
We are using Royalty.

Re: Paying for limos?
We are using Camelot as well and the same payment terms apply. I think we're gonna end up paying early anyway. As long as we get a receipt and the contract is still in tact, I'm okay with it.
Camelot has a good reputation and the LIW girls will all get on them if they screw with any of us ladies.....

Re: Paying for limos?
We used Camelot and paid the week before also, and something DID go wrong on the day, and they couldn't fix it or make it better that day So they offered us drop off/pick up for our HM, which apparently they offer to everyone anyway, so I wasn't too impressed.
But since we paid already, what were we going to do? We just s ucked it up, but I'm still pretty unhappy about it.
