Paying off HM...

Holy Cr@p! Paying off the HM feels good and yet... oh so PAINFUL!!!!

Did anyone else feel like they wanted to ? Yay, going into debt for our HM!

YES!!!!!!!!

Yeah when FH paid the HM we were WAHOOOO it's paid..then came the CC bill..we didn't rejoice as much

Mines due too...dont feel bad. were gonna have to take out a loan!!!

yeah, I paid for it all + 2.5k in dental bills all over a 3 month period... that was tons of fun... almost as much fun as the root canal I paid to avoid

poor fh comes in here and he's like considering taking on a second job. Teachers dont get paid enough!!

personally, I'd try to economize on the HM before taking on an extra job.... the whole point of the wedding and HM is a celebration... it wouldn't be fun if you had to suffer and break your back to pay for it.... JMO...

Caneel Bay in St. Johns USVI, I cant WAIT!!!!! Im going to try to put this money out of mind, that is until the CC statement. DUN DUN DUN!

same thing here -- we just paid off our HM on Friday.....not to sit tight and wait for the CC bill

it'll all be worth it in the end!!

Well its already taken care of at this point, and we really are excited and love where we chose so we feel good about that (took us so long to find the right place for us). Its exactly what we wanted and needed but unfortunately its not a package deal. No meals paid for or anything. Agh..

FH was speaking more of after the wedding he feels like it would help us to get a second job. But I said, well after the wedding our money situation will only be getting better compared to how much we're spending now for it. so play it by ear.

our wedding is so small that I know we wont be getting much back, which is fine, but it wouldve been a huge help to put it towards paying it off. We're just going to have to continue to be super smart. This HM was our one SUPER indulgence!!!!!!!!

yeah, I feel your pain... and we had a small wedding too...

you know what we did? Both our parents promised to give us X $$ as a gift..... we told them of our expenses, and they gave some of the gifts as an 'advance'.... so that took the edge off.... In reality, mom's entire gift went towards the wedding, and 1/2 of DH's parents' gift went towards those bills....

We paid ours off in March, but yeah it felt kind of like that!

I'm so glad we paid it early now, I couldn't even imagine having to pay that on top of everything else!!
