paying vendors in cash. would you have them sign something?

Hi,
we are planing to pay some vendors cash.
I think its a good idea to have them sign something that they got paid in full etc.
What does everyone thinks?
Does anyone has any sample of paper to sign?

Paying in cash or not, you should always get a receipt.

If you are not offered a receipt, do NOT book that vendor!

All vendors should have a receipt that they give you. When you pay with cash, check or CC you should always get a recipt

Check is good as cash and it's your receipt. If cash only, make sure you get something signed.

I paid a lot in cash... always got a receipt and it written in my contract what was paid when.

you are getting married in 2012...unless you are 100% confident in the vendor and they have a LONG and WELL ESTABLISHED and REFERENCED business history, do not pay them in full

....on this note, can someone pleaaaseee bump the flowers by gina thread....we do not need to see newly engaged couples get screwed!!!!

Paying in cash is fine as long as you have a reciept and a copy of the contract...

Get a receipt or make sure it is documented on the contract and signed

I'm paying mostly all my vendors in cash and yes I do ask for receipts. FYI: If you pay cash they should waive the taxes...Keep that in mind!!!!!!!!!!!
