They always give receipt... we have pay in cash and ALWAYS received a receipt

You should always get a receipt and/or have the payments written onto the contract and initialed by them

You should get a receipt. We are paying our photographer in cash and we got the receipt and next to the deposit line they put paid in cash with the date we paid.

If you are paying final payments the day of in cash, have a spreadsheet with who you owe what, and a spot for you and them to sign and date. In our case our DOC will be signing with them and distributing the final payments, but she will be getting signatures from every vendor she pays.

whether booking in cash or check or CC. Get a receipt! and have them stamp it paid in full!!
