Everywhere is different... if your RH is good with monthly....and that works for you...go for it.
I had to put $1500 down for deposit. $2500 is due in 3 months I forget how much...a large chunk ...is due 8 months before date and the balance the week before the wedding.

We put down a $500 deposit and we have to make a small payment once for the next 9 months. That covers half of the balance. The other half of the balance is due 10 days before the wedding. I see every place does it different. I am happy with the smaller payments each month.

1st payment- $1000
2nd payment- (2 months later)- $1000
3rd payment- (2 months later)- $2000
final payment due 2 days before event

It is diff at every RH
Dept at our RH was 2,500 We have payments due in Sept and in January This will bring us to having 50% of our min. paid
The rest is due 2weeks before the wedding, I think

Deposit was 750 - 3 months before the wedding we give another payment-(I dont remember offhand how much) and the Wednesday before the balance with the final count.

Honestly you tell them what you can handle. We booked back in 2008 and left a 1,000 deposit. The more time you have the more it can be spread out, we did smaller payment every other month and this worked best for us.

Mine is about every three months with each payment increasing as it gets closer to the wedding.
