PC Richards in Deer Park - section selling returned items?

I heard that they sell their returned items there...items that may have a ding/scratch or whatever.

Has anyone heard of this?
What kind of condition are the items in?
Is it worth looking at?
What kind of warranty do items come with?

Just wondering! Thanks!

Actuall my DH and I bought a washer from Best Buy ( they call it 'open box') that has a dent in it. It's a brand new Whirlpool washing machine though. We received the same warranty as if it was brand new -- I've had no problems with it -- and it was half price!!!!

I heard that it's fine to buy appliances from the open box section or dent section like a dishwasher, washer, dryer. The only thing you should stay away from is buying a refrigerator with a dent in it b/c of the frion (sp?).

I think all the stores have a few pieces in the store -- I went to a Best Buy near my home in NJ.

Yes the PC Richards in Deer Park on Commack Road has a clearance center...

We got a TV from the clearance center, it didn't have a remote

I know someone who went there and they got all their kitchen appliances there. I know they paid only about $100 for their stainless steel dishwasher.

DH and i went in there for a dishwasher but the guy was really nasty and didn't want to help you with anything so we left. But i know you can get good deals there.
