Re: PCOS

I have PCOS- gained 30 pounds in less than a year. I was told I have this problem about 3 years ago. I am taking metformin and lost all the weight and more over the past year or so. Be careful though, metformin is not good to take if you are pregnant! So make sure your doc knows you want to get pregnant soon. Alot of woman with PCOS have problems getting pregnant so hopefully this isn't the case for any of us!

that's how I feel too! And I'm a nurse, so of course now I am researching it, and freaking about it!!!!!
Did you do hormone testing? If you did, did they figure out where you were having a problem, and how did they fix it?

Hey, Gina, we nurses are always learning. I think I learned more by seeing chicken pox, broken bones etc., up close and personal, with my family, than reading about it!!!!! Mary MOB
