pearl size for BM set

The set I am considering says the pearls in the set are 7-7.5 mm

this is the size photo

Is this too large/gaudy?

The pearls are also being described as round flat- does that mean that they have flat backs and are not a sherical shape pearl? HMMMM . . .

I 'won' a 7-3/4 mm pearl in Disney Epcot. You can pick an osyter in the Japan pavilion and then have your pearl set.

My pearl is smaller then the photo you posted. It's a very nice size for a solitair. So the size you're thinking about should be fine.

I think that most pearl solitairs are 6mm.
