Pedestals

Is anyone using Pedestals florist? If so, what type of centerpieces are you getting from them? Will they make a sample for you, and are the prices reasonable. We saw a sample of a centerpiece they did at a showcase, and they said it would be $150, which seemed high to me.

Pedestals - I'm using them

I originally went to the florists with pictures of what I wanted and found out quickly that is not the way to go. I would recommend giving them a price range and asking what they could do for that price. The centerpieces on display are pricey because they are big and stuffed with flowers. We chatted about what could be done. I chose the shape and style then they made up a sample we played around with and I will now go back 6 weeks before the wedding to settle up the arrangements and bouquets. I found them easy to work with and know people who have used them and the flowers looked great. I got my invites through them too and will probably get the favors too. I am using Pedestals Florist for my upcoming wedding in September. I actually have an appointment next Thursday to see a sample centerpiece based on what we discussed when I booked them eight months ago. I believe (I have to double check the contract) that my centerpieces are $120 each and this is with three dozen roses as well as some green hydrangia (spelling?). I will let you know how everything goes. I have heard only good things about Pedestals and I know several people who have used them.

I am using them as well. For $80 a centerpiece, they gave me a high pedastal with 2 dozen roses and a mini candleabra. I just saw a sample as well and it was beautiful.

I saw my sample 2 weeks ago, and my wedding is on August 17. I don't know how much that matters because I was the one who called them to ask to see the sample.

Thanks for the note. They said they would touch base with me 6 weeks before to finalize the colors and flowers. Reading your note makes me think I better call to schedule the appointment to ensure it gets done.
