LADIES, I GOT MARRIED TWO MONTHS AGO, AND USED PEDESTALS, I WENT IN WITH NO PRICE RANGE. I TOLD THEM WHAT WE WANTED THEY GAVE ME A PRICE, OF 4, 500 I GOT A HUGE DISCOUNT (GREAT BUT IN THE END) MY USHERS FLOWERS LOOKED LIKE CLOWN FLOWERS. AND MY CENTER PIECES, WERE NOT THE WAY I SHOWED THEM I WANTED AFTER SEEING MY SAMPLE. IVE BEEN MAD, AND MY HUSBAND SAYS IT WAS NO BIG DEAL.. I ASKED FOR LOTS OF CANDLES AND CRYSTALS, I GOT FEW CANDLES, AND EVEN FEWER CRYSTALS. I EVEN TOLD THEM UP THE PRICE IF NEED BE BUT MAKE THE CHANGES I ASKED FOR I DEALT WITH VITO, AND WAS NOT HAPPY WITH WHAT HE DIDNT DO FOR ME.

I met with Vito and he told me how he is the head designer and showed me an impressive portfolio, all of which he claimed to have actually created and done. In the end he quoted me about $6,800 whereas everyone else inlcuding Flowers by Brian, Flower Michele, Verbena, Flower Barn, etc. quoted me between $4,200 and $5,300, so naturally I said no. He told me that he is the only designer at Pedestals who personally handles each event he takes on. So if that is the case, then he is personally responsible. Go after him girl!

That being said, I am an attorney, and I would see them in court for what they did to you unless they made me a very generous offer by way of compensation. They ripped you off monetarily and have caused you emotional disress. Whatever happens, whether they give you back some of your money or you sue them, make sure you tell everyone who will listen what happened to you.

I think we're all wondering if the pic in your profile (also posted on the 1st page of this thread) is the sample CP that pedestals actually made for you?

And if you discussed changing any flowers with them prior to your wedding?

And if you discussed changing any flowers with them prior to your wedding?

It may be a picture she showed them, but I am 99.9% sure that the first picture (with the orchids) was NOT her sample. Something about that picture bugged me from the beginning -- maybe it was the small laptops out on each table (Pedestals had flat screen desktops, and didn't bring them out to the display tables) or the chairs (I went back and checked my sample photos and they have metal chairs like the NRC, not wooden ones). Also, the ceiling is smooth, not tiled. It's entirely possible that she didn't get what she asked for, but I dont think that is a photo of her sample.

Disclaimer: they do have different locations, and it's possible that their locations are totally different from eachother. I've only been to one location

the first pic looks like the flower michelle location, not pedestals, but i could be wrong

Jenn, as far as I know they only have the one location. They closed the Hauppauge office just before I met with him, a few months ago. (edited for typo)

I can't believe that happened! What a HUGE difference. I am going for my sample in a few weeks, and I am going to bring in these photos with me ( hope that is OK). This is completely unacceptable. I am so sorry. Not that this means anything- I do think the actual centerpiece is pretty- but it does not excuse the fact that it is not what you ordered!

My friend had the same problem with. She told me they messed up her CP's big time. I wouldnt trust them if they changed around the actual wedding CP from the sample.

i was about to say, that picture of the sample is DEFINITELY not taken inside of pedestals. I am 100% sure of that...ive never been inside of FM so not sure if its the inside of FM. Maybe somebody who has been to FM can clarify this.
