LADIES, I GOT MARRIED TWO MONTHS AGO, AND USED PEDESTALS, I WENT IN WITH NO PRICE RANGE. I TOLD THEM WHAT WE WANTED THEY GAVE ME A PRICE, OF 4, 500 I GOT A HUGE DISCOUNT (GREAT BUT IN THE END) MY USHERS FLOWERS LOOKED LIKE CLOWN FLOWERS. AND MY CENTER PIECES, WERE NOT THE WAY I SHOWED THEM I WANTED AFTER SEEING MY SAMPLE. IVE BEEN MAD, AND MY HUSBAND SAYS IT WAS NO BIG DEAL.. I ASKED FOR LOTS OF CANDLES AND CRYSTALS, I GOT FEW CANDLES, AND EVEN FEWER CRYSTALS. I EVEN TOLD THEM UP THE PRICE IF NEED BE BUT MAKE THE CHANGES I ASKED FOR I DEALT WITH VITO, AND WAS NOT HAPPY WITH WHAT HE DIDNT DO FOR ME.

- whoa...there's a dozen calla's in the sample CP and then only three in the actual CP
- they switched the dendrobium orchids and replaced them with green filler / roses / hydrangeas

Classic bait & switch -- I'd report it on BBB (better business bureau) and take them to court.

ITA! I used pedestals and while I had a great experience....what happened to you is insane! Its not even that they used more callas in the sample, the CP for the actual day is not even the same flowers!

I looked in your album at your centerpieces and I actually thought they were nice, I wish I could afford something like that!

My friend also had a very bad experience with Pedestals. She has been meaning to write here about it. Robert made up a sample centerpiece using 14 callililies. When she got to the reception hall, there were only 10 in each centerpiece. She called him and he did come over and brought 2 more for each table (she had 21 tables). She was still out 2 per table. Add that up and they shorted her 42 callililies. She had also given them items for two hospitality baskets (sprays, deodorants, tampons, etc) and given to Pedestals to bring, and they forgot to bring them. She had spent alot of money on the items in there and when she complained, they said they would get back to her and she's still waiting (wedding was end of May!!!!).

we used them for a lot of stuff & were very happy. there was a mixup with something, but they were quick to contact us right after the wedding and resolved it with us completely.

it looks like they changed the main flower of your centerpiece from dendrobium orchids to hydrangeas and roses.

did you request a change???

i assume this one is the sample?

and this is from your wedding?

that's a huge difference. i'd be upset if i'd spent that much money and had a bunch of hydrangeas. have you talked to them yet?

ok wow, that is just 2 totally different centerpieces. the amount of filler on your wedding day is just ridiculous. i hope u have contacted them to get some type of compensation.

One of my co-workers used Pedestals she gave them a picture of what she exactly wanted but different color flowers. Come her wedding day they gave her the color that was on the picture when her contract specifically said the color she wanted.

im shocked - i am very familiar with pedestals work and then is soooooooooo not like them.....hmm i wonder.... im having them - ladies who are already booked with pedestals... no worries they are fab...its just a shame that this happened this time...

wow I totally see the difference I had problems with them too and had to keep arguing to get what I wanted they had a lot of green in my centerpieces for the price I paid but all in all it was nice not spectatcular but very nice

All three of my sisters used them for their weddings and had no problems. This was years ago. Now my wedding last year was at Russo's and Pedestals used to be the house florist there, but no longer. They wouldn't say why, but said there were some problems and Russo's decided not to use them anymore. I didn't even bother looking them up for my wedding once I heard this. We used Flowers by Brian.

Ok, this is really upsetting me. I'm actually using Pedestals and working with Vito. If you don't mind, I would like to bring this to his attention. The two CPs look nothing alike.. and the fact that you paid the price for orchids and got hydrangea and a ton of green filler is really unacceptable. I'm so sorry this happened to you and this is really the first negative thing that I've heard about them (besides the fact that they never return phone calles). Thanks so much for posting bc there are a lot of Pedestals brides that should really address this issue and make sure this doesn't happen again.

i heard they are on the expensive side - when a vendor is charging a lot of money they should at least get it right - if that was your sample i would absolutely go there with both photos and demand a refund! you paid for flowers that you didnt get!

Wow, I'm using Vito and I know my Contract says specifically what flowers will be in my CPs. and I saw my sampes and they were exactly right.

My cousin used Vito in April and everything was beyond perfect. He even sent so many extra boutineers incase they wilted or got damaged and needed to be replaced.

There is always going to be someone who has a bad experience. I've heard so many raves about Pedestals and Vito..this is actually the first rant I've heard about him.

Did your contract specify what flowers would be in each CP? Did he prepare that sample?

This would upset me beyond belief. I love flowers and really look forward to seeing mine just the way I envisioned them at my wedding.

I would call them right away and say something. Especially since you paid so much for each one...

Good luck but look on the bright side, you were a gorgeous bride and now you are married to your DH!!
