When I spoke to my John at FM he said that the earliest he could get red peonies was in early May and so I would have to wait till then to see a sample centerpiece. They do come in red but its a deeper red. I LOVE THEM!!

aren't they in bloom in april am i remembering wrong.

Also alot of places get flowers that are out of season, like i told you i saw a whole bunch at the flower district when i went in Jan/feb

It had something to do with the red ones only and I cant specifically remember what he said except that we would have to wait til the beginning of May at the least to see our CP but the pink and white ones he can get in April. ill ask FH if he remembers what John said exactly.

hahaha yea. Thats why I cant remember what he said b/c so many thoughts were going through my head as he was talking. I just kept thinking boy thats cutting it close or what if I dont like the CP and its only a week before my wedding etc etc...agghhhh

I know i was thinking the same thing, even those that bloom in april its only late april. I got peonies just for my bok so if anything i guess ill just change my bok

you can but it will be alot more...they stop blooming in june

I asked FMIL to put them in my centerpieces for August and she said she can get them, but didn't look happy and suggested other flowers---she is a florist and doing my flowers for free, so I think they must be really expensive at that time

THey are only available for a few months during the spring. I love them to and wish I could have them for my wedding

u miiiiight be able to get them at that time....it's spring/summer in new zealand/australia when its fall/winter here and they grow peonies there so they can possibly be imported. u wouldnt know til closer to the date though because itll depend on the crops etc. and what's available.

YAY! Just called Burton's and they said if I want Peonies, I can get Peonies! YAY!!
