I don't think there are red peonies. A flower with a similar look are raunaculus (sp?) and they are a type of rose that comes in red.! HTH

My FMIL(step) is a florist and if I rem correctly, I believe she said that they are really only in season in the spring. I have also never seen red ones----but I am sure you can call any florist in the book and they could help out.

nooooo...unfortunately I think its too early to even import them....but if you get red Lisianthis and red roses and tell your florist that you want to let them open a little, then it should give you a similar effect...HTH...

I've read that peonies only bloom beginning in may for about 4-5 months normally. Your flourist might have to get them shipped from elsewhere and will probably cost more money for that. Also, red flowers in general (even right after valentine's day) will cost extra. Def check with your flourist (or any flourist for that matter) cuz they'll know best.

I saw peonies in the flower district in february, they were $5 each at the wholesale flower shop which sells flowers for less than other places

They can give you red peonies by dying them. I wanted pink roses for e-party with a brown trim but i didnt want to wait for them to dye it

If you tell her thats what you want, I'm sure they'll be able to make other recommendations to still give you the look of what you are going for. Just bring pics, like the one you have above and hopefully she can work some magic.

When I spoke to my John at FM he said that the earliest he could get red peonies was in early May and so I would have to wait till then to see a sample centerpiece. They do come in red but its a deeper red. I LOVE THEM!!

It had something to do with the red ones only and I cant specifically remember what he said except that we would have to wait til the beginning of May at the least to see our CP but the pink and white ones he can get in April. ill ask FH if he remembers what John said exactly.
