People are canceling

I already had people canceling before having to give the count in and now 2 more people have backed out

I'm sorry. I know what its like for people to cancel last minute.... but try to remember that the people who will be there love you and want to share in your day!!!!!!!

Hun- dont worry the same thing happene to us. We had an entire family cancel on us- almost 8 in a weekend- thats what people do :(

Yup and its my asst. who I love very much and has been listening to me for the past 2 yrs about all of this.

Ugh. That just sux.

Ive learned though that people drop like flies and people you think would defintely be at your wedding, end up not showing up or giving lame excuses as to why they cant go.

Oh man that would have boiled my blood....

You know what... I was angry and was going to track them down, but by the time I got home from Hawaii I calmed down and I figure there is nothing I can do and I am not going to let it get to me and ruin a perfect day. But we figure about $3000 worth of people just didn't show. Most of them gave me gifts, but still. From the ones I did hear from there were tons of excuses, but who really knows. At least 4 of my guests came without their husbands for one reason or another. One of my guests stayed through the appetizer and then left because her daughter was ill, but her husband had stayed home with the kids so why he couldn't handle it, I don't know? The weirdest no show was my ex-boss (who I am still close to) who was at the church and said to my dad 'I'll see you guys later' and then he never showed. I still need to find out why for him. That was strange.

Im so sorry!!!

But please dont let it ruin your day!! I had one person cancel a day before my wedding!!!! I was livid, but a friend of mine told me to just flick it off my shoulder and what good is it going to do sitting around and being mad when this should be a happy time.

She was right- I let it go and remember- the people who love you and want to be a part of your special day WILL BE ThERE!!!

Yes, it hurts. I too had folks cancel day before and then one not even show up day of. . no notice and in the end you just have to brush it off. . though I did get to do something fun and invite a new friend the night before who had met us out after the RD (he was good friends with someone in our BP) and just said HEY wanna come to our wedding tomorrow!!! and that was SOOO fun!!

We had a total of 9 cancelations- We were able to cover three of the plates by having friends who were not initially invited with guests bring a guest. People are so RUDE!!!!!! My MIL knew a couple of the people canceled and did not tell us we spent over $750 on no shows!
