with four days left to RSVP after being given 5 or 6 weeks I'm still missing about 60 rsvps. I'm just annoyed bc you spend all this time and money and people cant write their name, say yes or no, and seal an envelope!!!!!!!!!!!!
is this a common problem?
how long do I wait to call them ?
TIA

I am worried about this too. Nobody RSVP's to our parties in general, so I'm assuming they will do the same for our wedding :(

Re: people are driving me nuts !
i had this problem too - and we were panicking and so my mom called a bunch of them because we figured screw it...it's so rude NOT to send it back, so we'll just call and say 'hey, we need to know how many are coming to tell our hall, can you make it or not?'
we called like 2 days after the date. i mean, it's a deadline for a reason. would you send stuff in at work past a deadline?? sheesh!!! COME ON PEOPLE!!!!

Re: people are driving me nuts !
from what I have seen on here.. yes A LOT of brides have this problem. If I was put in this situation I would let the parents on both sides know who from their families didnt RSVP and have them call them immediatley. If there are co-workers and friends who did not RSVP then I would have your self or your FH call them starting the last day of the RSVP cut off!
Good luck!

Re: people are driving me nuts !
We had that and I started calling right after the RSVP date. Some people I had to call and email a few times before they even responded.

Re: people are driving me nuts !
our date was June 1 and we just got the final 4 verbal 'YES' yesterday.
We were missing like 40 invites at one point. We started making phone calls a few days after and one weekend we saw a bunch of people and were like are you coming, and with a date?
It is very annoying. We did lose some in the mail.

Re: people are driving me nuts !
Unfortunately, it's common. I swear even some of my friends who are getting married did it to us-I'm going to purposely do it to them!! As for your RSVPs, wait a week or so before you call. Some people see the RSVP date just passed and send it in.

Just remeber that some people thing the RSVP date means they are supposed to mail it that day. Give about a week after that date before you start calling.
agreed!

Re: people are driving me nuts !
I feel the same way....I've got 10 days, but only 1/5th have replied. At first I was down in the dumps because of all the no's...I had more than half say no, so I started sending out b list. Now I am wondering if everyone else is coming? It's odd also, nearly every friend has said yes, most of family has said no. Go figure!
