people have nerve!

Today I get a phone call from a family member, wanting to know why I am not having any 'group dances'. She said 'well what are the kids going to dance to, you should really have something for the kids'....

This just pi$$e$ me off. I am not paying all this money on our day, to have my wedding turned into a Sweet 16, when there will be 4 children at my wedding. I dont like that kind of music, and it will not be played, plain and simple.
I am not concerned what music these 4 children might like and will enjoy dancing to.

So, let me re-confirm this: There will be no cotton eyed joe, no chicken dance, no cha cha slide, electric slide, or the like. Thank you.

I know, I didn't want most of those songs either because most of them are soo played out. But, I know my junior BM and GM were all excited trying to show my cousin/MOH how to do the Cotton-Eyed Joe, so I'll probably let a few of them go. But NO Macarena... People are hot stuff though...I mean to call you up and put you on the spot. You should have said, how 'bout this, when you pay for my vendors, then you can have something to say...that would go over well!
Tomorrow I get to call one of my cousins to tell her she can't take her two kids that she took upon herself to add to the response...good times!

It is your day...you are a grown up. If you choose to have no group dances that is your God given right. If this family member is mad that their children can't dance at the wedding...then maybe they shouldn't bring them.

THIS IS YOUR AND FH'S DAY!!!! If you want to play Yanni for five hours...it is your choice!!!

So funny, I know - I should have just told her to keep the dam kids at home then. They can do all those dances in their Pj's right in the comfort of their own living room while the babysitter watches.

Sorry, but I just cannot accommodate everyone - people need to realize this and stop being so rude and opinionated. Next she'll be wondering why I dont have 4 sets of Big Wheels, Legos, and a Hannah Montana video playing on the plasma screens!!!!

Yup truly a sign that your day is coming. I truly did not want to believe theorist about when children bypass developmental stages and off to adulthood they go

This wedding has taught me that age is really just a number. I have old ladies responding with 1, and now trying to add on long lost boyfriends. People are crazy!!
