OK! Last night a family friend who I have not seen in quite some time was crying hysterical on the phone regarding her marriage and how they may be potentially heading for divorce. Anyways, I was on the phone comforting her over an hour last night. I suggested we do lunch today and that I would then take her daughter to the park.
So, today when I walk into her job- the first thing she says to me is 'OMG- You've gotten so big! Look at those thighs!!' Are you effin serious?!!! I feel really bad for what she's going through- but, seriously- THINK BEFORE YOU SPEAK!!! Mind you, she's said other inconsiderate crap in the past so I really shouldn't be too alarmed by her comment- but, this really urked me big time!!

EXACTLY!!! Mind you, last night I was giving her alllllll the compliments in the world. When she made those comments, my mouth literally hit the floor...couldn't believe it! She sooooo aggravating to be around sometimes and I feel so bad for her daughter. Long story short, she had her 8year old daughter kicked out of dancing school cause she (her mom), was offensive towards the dance teacher.

you know what they say, 'misery loves company' don't let it get to you. she's in a bad place right now and isn't thinking clearly. now, if this is not the first time she has said something like this, the next time she does, i would call her out on it

I know you were being a great friend but try to see it from her perspective: she might be officially ending her marriage while you're just starting yours. That is perfect grounds for jealousy and spitefulness..
