I was friends with this girl - all thru high school - we are both 23 now (so out 5 years already) - havent seen her since our first year in college.. 4 YEARS AGO! - so needless to say - she assumes she is invited to the wedding - she ran into my MOH over the weekend and was telling her how excited she is and cant wait for me to pick my BP.. my MOH was like she already did - and I am her MOH - she said her face nearly hit the floor... and my MOH was telling me how she cant wait until the wedding... my MOH said that the girl was like oh yea im invited, only 8 months away! i hope she gets the point when she doesnt get an invitation i was hoping we werent going to have any people anticipating the wedding that arent invited until about when the invites went out... guess its never too early for drama

I just read on the 08 boards yesterday about a girl with the SAME problem. She had to email the girl and tell her that she was NOT invited!!! She even posted the girls reply!

I’m having the same issue…
FH and I used to work together, so since everyone I work with knows both of us they all assume they’re invited to the wedding. There are 75 staff in this building!!! I feel like it’s going to be really hard, I don’t want to pick some people and not others.
Plus I’m the Office Manager so I supervise two secretaries but they’re both much older than me and I don’t really like them – but I can’t NOT invite them and then invite other people I’m more friendly with!!
Ohh it's gonna be a mess, I'm not even going to think about that yet.

that's annoying. stupid me would probably end up inviting her anyway out of sheer awkwardness. if you never see her and don't invite her, i don't suppose you'll really have to deal with her feeling insulted.

Yeah, thats annoying. People can be so....clueless!
But you know whats worse?
A coworker who ASSUMES SHE'S A BRIDESMAID! We're good friends, but nothing super close or anything that would make me include her in the BP. She's even making remarks about colors that she would look good in, etc...Can you believe the nerve???

Very funny. Right after I got engaged I told me sorority sisters and one of them who I barely have spoken to in 2 yrs (who I was close with maybe 5 yrs ago) was like..OMG cant wait for wedding, to be in bridal party)
I was like '*** ' I only decided to have 1 sorority sister who I am very close to and now that other one was giving her the third degree, making her feel bad so I was like..'if you guys have any questions..ask ME, the BRIDE who I chose to be in my BP...'
Oh well it will be funny to hear when invites go out!

People are always doing that... they just think that they are 'that' imporatnat. I had one girl try to invite herself in the wedding... b/c she bluntly told me that my brother (her b/f at the time) can NOT walk down the aisle with anyone but her! Uhm...whos wedding is this?? LOL. Needless to say, she's NOT in my BP! Least not anymore! HAHAH Good thing they broke up! HA

I sent out my STD's last month and I have a 'friend' who has been asking me over and over again why she didn't get one. Now this girl is a co-worker of my sisters. We became friends b/c we went to happy hour a couple of times. About 4 of us started hanging out every thursday and having dinner and watching grey's. Now since she got serious with her BF and greys has ended, I haven't seen her or spoken to her. Now she is going as far as running into my other sister and asking her if she got an invitation to my wedding and then IMing me asking me if I was mad at her, and telling me that she is upset b/c she didn't get a STD. So, I know how your feeling about people inviting themselves!
Edit: I also have people asking me if they are in my wedding... who does that?
