Did anyone have any problems with the metrocard machines because seems like alot of them weren't working if you used your credit card, it would get stuck on processing payment. I used one thought it was just the machine, used another and again then went into path station and saw no lines so thought it was ok in there but nope it happened again...Anyways if this happened to any of you check your bank account or credit card bc although it kept saying unable to process request it charged me all 3x
Don't know if this will apply to anybody but just in case

Did you have this prob this morn or overall? Sometimes this happens to me and I hate when it does. There are a couple of machines in my station so if one is not working I go to the next. I dont use cash and when I get to the point where it says put in the card and it declines , ERRRRRRRGG I have to go back and do it again. I have never been charged more than once, you have to call your CC company or the metrocard # and report it

Contact your bank or CC company immediately! They might just tell you that it won't get processed, just shows up on the card now.

No it was ALL of them at the station i was at, this was happening to everybody, trust me i went over to every machine and saw this happening to everyone...even at the path station a lady next to me used her card and it happened to her, finally a worker came over and i think there was a glitch with their system...i went to use an atm got cash and used cash but the funny thing is i get my metrocard and at the path station my card wasn't working at the turnstiles, it took LOTS of tries for it to finally go through...and it wasn't declining it was getting stuck on processing your request

such bs, i feel horrible bc the guy next to me was getting a $76 metrocard and he kept trying and trying and did it about 3-4x so wait until he sees he got charged EACH time.

i didn't have this problem today but friday EVERYONE swiping their cards got 'insufficient fare' - I did too and mine's an unlimited. But if you kept swiping it went away (which is bizarre, i never got insufficient fare as a message unless there really was no money left on the card). So maybe there is some weird glitch.

see thats whats annoying right now bc if they've had problems since friday then they should put out of order signs on them...i left my little purse with my metrocard and also work id at home but i had one metrocard in my bag that had 1 fare left when i was at penn station and THANK GOD bc that line was ridiculous you could barely walk by...but then at WTC i needed a metrocard and this worker finally comes over bc a girl called her over and i told her that none of them were working and she said 'oh there must be a glitch' if its going on for 3 days shouldn't they know
Luckily i have a metrocard at home that i just bought last week so i wasnt putting a large amount, only $10 each time...but ppl were putting $76 many times, some $20 and so on

unfortunately i think they did charge them each time, feel bad for them...thats what pisses me off, they want more money but its like do a better job first

its funny bc about 2 weeks ago this guy decided to test something out, he did something he calls the MTA marathon...he took the same routes as the marathon but on a train, which you think would be alot faster but no it took longer than the average time lol
