People who have a lot of out of town guests how

are you alerting them of hotels near you or near the reception place?

Yes, we are. I think we are going to enclose something in their invites that state the closest hotel and see if we can get a deal with that hotel for our guests since there are quite a few of them that will prob book. Maybe we will try to have a bus (like classic coach or something) to transport them to and from them reception so they do not have to drive or worry about taxis and such. This would prob only be the case if a lot of them book with the one hotel.

We put that info in our save-the-dates and will also be putting it in our invites...

We made a wedding website which includes information for out of town guests. We put an insert in our eparty invites with the website, and we also put the website on our save-the-date cards that we mailed about a week ago.

We felt that this would be fine, b/c all our our out-of-town guests are young, so the computer is not an issue. We also gave the information to the 3 sets of parents (my parents, FH's dad and stepmom, FH's mom and stepfather), so if anybody should call them to ask, they could just tell them.

We blocked rooms at a hotel so our guests could get discounted prices. Then I sent them the information along with info about Long Island before the invitations. In the invitations I included the direction card to the hotel that the hotel provided.

When we sent out our STDs, we included our website address. The website has all the info on accomodations. We're also going to include an 'accomodations' card with our invite.

We blocked off rooms at the Hilton and included the Hotel information on the STD's. We also have it again on our website and will be sending the Hotel information out again with the invitations.
