Per plate?

Original post by myasmom

I know this may be an inappropriate question to some but I was wondering how much per plate halls are charging and how much gratuity?

I was curious to see the differences. I have heard anywhere from 65 per plate plus 20% grat to upowards of 150.00 per plate..........yikes

For Leonard's, we got 60pp plus 15% (not 18%) and tax = $75pp

Don't forget that the service charge is taxed and is not the gratuity.
You need to calculate the per plate + service charge +tax on that total plus gratuity.

service charges are negotiable in most places. don't give up - a 2% reduction in service charge is real money and worth negotiating.!!!

It gives you extra money you'll need for tips.

NRVBRD

We are in the nantuket deck like you were. I think it is beautiful too :)

One reason I chose it was b/c is is intimate. Alot of other halls have much bigger rooms but when u put in 100 guests you run the risk of having too much space and looking empty.

At the CH the per plate already has all the service charges and everything figured in so no surprises thank goodness.

hrmm

I think it was 18% grat
All included (tax & grat) for 100 min it was $8259, plus the $300 for the ceremony it came to around $8500

Not bad if you ask me heh
Includes the cocktail hour, sit down dinner, centerpieces and cake..and of course the ceremony since I added it in.

We are getting married, at the Estate at East Wind's, on a saturday night and we're paying $76.95 pp, + tax and gratuity, I think it came to $102 pp.. and we added a sushi bar ( I lOVE SUSHI) anyway, i felt like it was SO MUCH $$ BUt then, I really took a look at what we're getting and it's totally worth it!!!
