My FH and I are shopping around for DJs and are trying to stay within some type of budget. I'm trying to negotiate to get both, but if you had to choose, would you rather have a percussionist to play along with the DJ or plasmas with a photo montage/zapshots? And why?!
Thanks in advance for your opinions!

Re: Percussionist or Photo Montage?!
i would prefer the photo montage personally. idk i never really feel like the percussionist adds that much to the whole set but im a sucker for pictures during the dances and what not!!! i think w/e you and FH think is more important you shld go for

Me and FH are doing the plasma w/photomontage & zap shots. The reason I like that better was because our DJ offered to give us all the zap shots on a CD. I like the fact that I will have even more photos from the night. Also, my photographer said he could splice the photomontage into my wedding video if I want

Photo montage...
If you do the percussionist have it done during the cocktail hour so people can actually enjoy it... would seem kinda redundant to do it while the DJ is playing music also

I voted for the percussionist , every time I've seen them at a showcase it seems to bring so much more energy to the crowd. I guess it depends though what you are more into, I am also a little biased since we are having one.

im getting both lol.. it depends on whats important to you - if you love pictures then go for zap shots, if you care about the energy the percussionist gives off then go for that..my friend had just a percussionist at her wedding and i had a blast.

Re: Percussionist or Photo Montage?!
we skipped the zaps/plasmas and instead have a Steel Drummer during cocktail hour. I wanted live music more than a screen flashing pictures all night. Sometimes, I find the screens take away from what is going on bc people sit in their chair and stare at the screens.
