Hi ladies...so I never thought I would want or need a DOC but I went to a PWP tea party and their DOC package sounded too good to be true and like the much needed help I think I will need!
Anywho, I was just wondering if anyone has used them or is thinking about using them - whether for DOC or a full planning package. My FH thinks the price is a bit steep and 'do we really thing we are going to need it'? Um...for a guest list at 293...I think it's a big possibility!
Any thoughts or suggestions???

Re: Perfect Wedding Planners (PWP)
I know Fox Hollow promotes this service as well, what exactly do they do as DOC and what is their pricing? You can FM if you would like. Is a DOC necessary?! I'm not having a large wedding, between 130-150, but I'm curious if this service is necessary beyond the Maitre D and Bridal attendant. Any input would be greatly appreciated! TIA!!!

Re: Perfect Wedding Planners (PWP)
The cost for PWP that she told me was very high.
My DOC is Christine of Piece of Cake Events. She is amazing.
Basically a DOC is there to handle any problems. Here is a list of what Christine includes: * 10 hours of service * Unlimited contact via email and telephone * Initial and final meeting * Create detailed wedding day timeline * Confirm and verify all wedding day vendors * Coordinate bridal party entrance at ceremony and reception locations * Set up all ceremony decor (programs, aisle runner, flowers, religious items, etc) * Inspection of reception room decor and set up any special items (favors, menus, etc) * Care of wedding gown * Distribute final payment and gratuities to vendors. * Handle and oversee any unforeseen issues * Provide bridal emergency kit
Basically the way I look at it is that it is an insurance policy. If something goes wrong with one of my vendors she is there to handle it instead of myself, FH or bridal party.
The people from the hall are there to make sure the hall stuff if handled. But if there is a problem with the limo or something like that they will not have a problem.
Another thing I like with the DOC is that if there is a problem with the hall they can deal with it. When you think about it the people from the Hall work for the hall and would side with the hall over you. The DOC is there to advocate for you!
Obviously we will all have perfect weddings and will have no issues... but just in case!

Re: Perfect Wedding Planners (PWP)
I use to do meeting planning and I always tell people that when you are meeting with potential DOC... ask what their experience is. Make sure they have done other things besides plan their own wedding.
Coming from someone who has planned other events that are not for me, I think it is very important to have someone who has experience outside of just planning their own wedding. It is very different!
I completely agree Mara!!! This is why is it sounding more and more appealing to me. I just want that added insurance so I don't have to deal with whatever goes wrong! Thank you so much for your opinions and suggestions!

Re: Perfect Wedding Planners (PWP)
Could someone please FM me pricing info with DOC packaging? I'm at a loss.... I did win a few hundred off of DOC for PWP, so pricing/packaging for that as well would be very much appreciated!

Re: Perfect Wedding Planners (PWP)
I called PWP and their prices where kind of high. After talking with Fox Hollow it sounds like there is going to be so much help plus a bridal attendant we decided not to use one. I also talked to Christine at Piece of Cake events and her prices where really reasonable and she was very helpful.
