My absolute favorite scent is Egyptian Musk oil. A new favorite scent is Linen musk from Scentsational (in Huntington).

In the summer I like to alternate with Light Blue (Dolce & Gabbana).

I have been wearing Marc Jacobs since it came out... I like sticking to one scent like a signature...

Now I'm wearing Marc Jacobs Essence, but I can't really tell the difference, it's very slight.

I smell perfumes on others, run out to buy it because I like it and discover it just doesn't smell the same on me.

Issey Miyake is one of them. It smells awesome on others, but as soon as I put it on, it gives me a headache.

Not many people know of EM - and even fewer wear it...that's probably what I love most about it - outside of the amazing scent. It's so clean and soft and unmistakable.

Where do you buy yours? My favorite one's are from the Rasta street seller's in Manhattan. Any other one that I've bought froma store or online, hasn't smelled the same.

Jenny - I do the same thing!!!! I have actually ordered perfume online, just by the description...It will sound like it smells so pretty and I'll order it.
LOL....I get it and it smells NOTHING like how I thought it would....

Or, I'll so the same as you.....smell it on someone else and go out and buy it!

It's terrible!!!! I have so many bottles that I don't even wear....

Glad i'm not the only one with my problem! LOL!!!

So did i when i lived in Queens and hung out in the city all the time. But since i moved back to LI i get it in Rooservelt (sp?) Mall. One of the middle venders. The smell is great and you are right i LOVE that not too many people wear it. And people ALWAYS ask me what it is

I wear Deep Red by Hugo Boss, it has this great vanilla scent. I also use one of the GAP scents during the weekend for something light, I think its called white linen. Also love Issey Miyake.

I am going perfume shopping at lunch, will have to take some suggestions from here!

*edited- bought Michael by Michael Kors. Love it! I keep smelling my wrist. Its neat to have something different
