Permanent French Manicure

Have any of you done the Light Concepts (i think that is what it is called, under the UV) permanent French? Do you like it?

If you live in Brooklyn, where did you get it done? How much?

TIA

I can't speak for Brooklyn, but I see it done in FH's neighborhood in Jersey all the time. It's growing to be very popular. As a matter of fact, the girl at the nail place in Jersey was giving me a a pedicure and I remember thinking 'she's going to ruin her beautiful nails!'

When her hands and nails emerged unscathed from it, I realized she had permanent french. It's beautiful. The price displayed in the salon I'm talking about is $50.

That is so funny, I was just going to post the same thing! I heard great things about them, and I really want to do it, but don't know where to go in Queens.

Does anyone know where I can go to get them done in Queens? Bayside are?

Yeah, a couple of my friends got them, but they got it done very recently, so I wanted to know what it's like after

I was wondering about them too! are they like regular acrylics where you have to get them filled in every 2 weeks?

I don't know if they are acrylic, but pretty sure you do have to fill them in every few weeks.

From what I have heard, they are not acrylic, but you do need fill-ins

You do not need fill insunless you choose to get them. I go once every 4 weeks. I have them and love them. I get them done in a small salon in Sheepshead Ba in Brooklyn. They average from 60-80 a month depending on the place. Also, if you break one, they fix it no charge. FM me for more info.

In Selden, 21st Century Nails does it with Acrylic I think. Pink and white. It looks beautiful. My friend has it. I think its $0 for a set. you go every 2 weeks for a fill, but they only fill the white part every other time I think..

631-696-6583 Is the number. I like Howie the best.

I got the permanent french done with silk wrap-they were great but as all fake nails ruined my nails underneath-so i'm taking a break from them for awhile-I needed to get mine filled approx every 3 weeks

Is what Missymouse gets and the regular acrylic tips with a wrap different? I'm confused. I used to get the tips that were permanant french and used to go every 2 weeks to get them filled in, they cost me $50 for a full set and $20 for a fill in,but I think Missy's are different, am I correct?

Hi guys! I did a Google search on Light Concept Nails and got this #800-866-2457.

They gave me the numbers of salons in the city that do LCN.

Spa Belle's 212-772-1451

Bloomie Nails 212-366-4545

Mingus Salon 212-674-6270

Shandra, there is a salon near me that does LCN, but they did such a sloppy job I wouldn't recommend them.

You are correct they are not acrylic (I'm allergic to acrylic) They are a special type of gel that is activated by UV light. It is actually a long process that takes about an hour and a half to get done.
