It varies depending upon the district.

Re: PERMANENT SUBSTITUTE SALARY?
yes, depends on the district. I workd every day for the same teacher for 3 months and I was paid 110 a day I think, but there was no insurance involved.

Re: PERMANENT SUBSTITUTE SALARY?
Districts range in salary - I was paid $85 a day...some go as high as $105...but there is no inusrance and no pay for days you are not there.

Re: PERMANENT SUBSTITUTE SALARY?
My FH was a perm sub from Christmas break til June - the salary was about $23,000 for the year, and his benefits (medical AND dental) were free.
eta: He was technically a 175day sub, it came out to roughly $130 a day.

Most districts a permanent sub is different from a regular Sub.

shorty what district was he in? That sounds pretty good. Did they consider him a leave replacement or a long term sub?

His title was district wide 175day sub. He was a leave replacement for 3 weeks at the end of the year, but his pay didn't change b/c it was such a short period of time. He was in Western Nassau (almost Queens). He has a 45min-1hr commute, depending on the traffic.
