I talked to my uncle who is doing my flowers, he was telling me that I get 2 bouquets one to toss and one to keep. I would like to preserve my bouquet. I prefer freeze dried. Does anyone know of anyone that does this. Or did anyone dry this themselves. And how much did this cost? Thanks a bunch!!

I did a bit of research on this and it seems very expensive to do

Re: perserving brides bouquet?
I got mine preserved as pressed flowers in a frame through Floral Keepsakes. It cost over $400 because I wanted a special frame. But honestly, I don't like how it looks. It is hanging in my bathroom.

Re: perserving brides bouquet?
I did it through Heller and Reid (they have a website). It was VERY expensive. I almost didn't do it because I wasn't sure if it was worth it. But I absolutely LOVE flowers, and the thought of never seeing my bouquet again just killed me. I didn't want to risk trying to dry it myself either.
Has anyone tried doing this themselves? I would like to try...

Those are beautiful. I definitely think I'm going to do it.
If you look under the VENDORS on this website. There is a 'Floral Preservation'. Haven't looking into it, but want to.
I would think you have to get them you're flowers the day after the wedding right?

Yes, you do. But it was very easy with Heller and Reid. They give you everything you need to pack up the bouquet and then you can also arrange for a courier to come pick it up (or you can drop it off too at FedEx or whatever). Some of the flowers in the bouquet probably won't make it, but whoever preserves your bouquet will (or should) replace any flowers that have died.
