The earlier the better bc you change your mind like 10 times before you decide on something. Ask woobie, she knows what i'm talking about Just kidding Nancy!!!! Lots of people do all sorts of things like monograms, programs, petal cones...there are tons of things you can do. Just keep surfing the boards and you will get tons of ideas. Also try the DIY board for things you can do yourself!

the more time you spend on this site, the more ideas you will come up with. you have plenty of time, so don't worry... you will have so many ideas in this next year and a half, you'll think your head is going to explode!

just take things as they come - if you try to plan out all the unique things you can do for everything you'll go crazy! for example, you're picking out a dress, do you want traditional or different? how different? you can add color, get it completely colored, or just have colored shoes, you can get a unique bustle or veil... etc. etc. etc. gah! - so many choices for just one thing! you have plenty time to make your wedding as unique as you want. =0) if you want to discuss ideas, fm me. i'm always up for unique conversation.

it depends on you and your dream wedding. take your time, look around.
if you're going to get started soon, what i would advice is... be careful with the things you do/make early on. they might get lost in the shuffle of your life and/or get damaged. just make sure that you place them where they won't get damaged.
