How do you see yourself? I have 'love handles' and a little belly and FH loves the way I look....but more often than not, I see myself as overweight and tend to get down on myself....

I see someone seriously in need of some toning. But otherwise, I'm very happy with my body.

Re: Personal Opinion question....
I'm like WTF?!? when I look at myself. I have a VERY bad self image, but it doesn't stop me from doing bad things to myself. Maybe if someone walked in front of me all day with a full scale mirror, maybe I'd pass on the Mickey D's for lunch

Re: Personal Opinion question....
i shouldn't complain but it's been a shock to me that i no longer have the metabolism i've had my whole life, up until last year. i definitely need more toning and my stomach needs work.

I love that FH loves me the way I am..but there are times I just HATE myself and get down on myself for the way I look

Re: Personal Opinion question....
I have always been the voluptuous type, but ever since I was about 21 or so I have put on a good 20 pounds that will not go away! And I feel very self-conscious about it. No one would ever be able to tell how heavy I am by looking at me. I guess I should feel good then that I carry the weight well, but I still want to lose it. My mom loves to tell me that my face is “so much fuller than it was a few years ago.” Grrrr…
On the up side, my FH is very happy with the way I look, so I guess that’s why I haven’t done too much to lose the weight. I do need to tone, though.

Oh my- when I turned 30 it was wake up call central. I HAVE to watch what I eat , and yes I HAVE to excercise. I am not the skinny girl I use to be, I have to work at having a nice body now.
The only thing I do not like about my body is my mid section- I am starting to get a tummy. Other than that I am happy.

Re: Personal Opinion question....
I WISH I loved my body- DH does. But all I see in the mirror is a pouchy belly and cellulite on the backs of my legs. Oh and I hate my arms. But, in reality, I confess that I look pretty darn good. It's just that I always want to look BETTER.

Re: Personal Opinion question....
i feel like i'm getting fatter every day. which probably isn't true. but since the wedding only 4.5 months ago i've put on about 10 pounds! i know part of it is winter inactivity but still.... dh tries to be helpful by saying 'oh you just need to go to the gym and you'll look great' but that makes me feel worse!

Re: Personal Opinion question....
I have the classic hourglass shape, which sometimes I get kind of down about. (I would love a smaller butt.) But FH is constantly saying how much he likes my body. And I have to admit, on most days, I think it's not too bad. Nothing a little time at the gym couldn't help, anyways.

Re: Personal Opinion question....
I like my body - I like the curves and muscles and I love my skin. But lately I'm seeing myself as much skinnier than I used to. I'd like to gain 10-15 pounds...but that's never been easy/possible for me.

Re: Personal Opinion question....
I look at myself and giggle..My body is deceiving.
I could tone up my lower abs.. little poofy belly.
My butt could DEFINATELY use definition and firmness...
It's my hips that make me giggle.. I have THUNDER THIGHS... Thighs are thicker than my NECK!!! I got a hip line that could hurt someone.. but you can't really see it that much. No one believe my measurement and no one believes I wear a 10.
Personally though.. Im healthy. I may not look like a Model but Jim loves me and I know Im within the Average Weight range. I don't want to remove carbs from my diet and live a life of always being tired and hungry so I look pretty for some stranger walking by me. I hate that Media wants us all to be skinny sticks. Im a 10 and I make it look good. I sway those large hips of mine and move my butt.. it's all mine and Im glad Im healthy alive. As long as I stay under 150 I'll pretty much just keep on being me.
I like to look at my tattoo.. looks so out of place on me.. hehe

Re: Personal Opinion question....
I wish I appreciated my body more. Even when I was at my thinnest, like for my wedding, I still thought I could lose a signifigant amount more weight. Now (after postwedding gain) I wish I could get back to what I was then I always feel better when I workout regularly. I have had bad body image forever, but try and see the positives. DH is the best mirror for this as well

Re: Personal Opinion question....
I'm a dance teacher PT so I'm in a room of mirrors, in form-fitting clothing 8 hours a week....I try to avoid looking if I can. I'm very unhappy with my body like the majority women in America. I think ordering my wedding gown this weekend is helping to motivate me to get myself toned up and in kick-a$$ shape.....we'll see.

I'm happy with my body but I have dark under eye circles that have bottered me my entire life so when I look in the mirror I always see them! Even when they are at their lightest..

Re: Personal Opinion question....
Hmichick brings up a good point. At 28, I look back at my body when I was 21 and I want that back. I was a size two then without trying. Then I got a little older and my super fast metabolism came to a screaching stop. I so want to lose 10 lbs and avoid going up yet another size and having to replace all of my clothes, but I look ok. I am still thin, but I am out of shape and need toning.
And you know what, when I was 21 and a size two, I thought I needed to lose weight then This is what we allow society to do to us. When I see pitures of myself from seven years ago I am HORRIFIED that I wanted to lose weight.
Everyone should strive to be comfortable in their own skin.
I try my best to eat healthy now. I used to literally have Mickey D's at least once a day, a lot of days I'ld have it twice. I am with, Shamee, I can't give it up. But I try to limit myself to making a Mickey D's run only once a week. Many weeks it turns out to be twice a week, but hey, its still progress

Re: Personal Opinion question....
I am pregnant and in my third trimester so right now I see my face getting so chubby. I didn't even notice until someone took my picture and now I am getting very camera shy.
