Re: personal question...
Hi,
I am the same size as you and was able to get a strapless gown....first, I bout a Maggie Sottero that laces up the back so that will give me extra support...although I haven't bought my bra yet, I did wear a strapless gown to a prom I went to and was able to find a good strapless bra that fit me at Blum's in Pathogue. They are awesome and will tell you exactly what you need to hold them up HA!!!!!!!!!
Good luck!!!!!

My MOH had the same issue when she got married, she went to Blums and honestly she didnt have a good experience there.
Recently while trying on dresses for my wedding she cam across a bra at a store that she was was amazing! Its made by Goddess.

Re: personal question...
I don't have your problem, but I do know people who have gotten their bras built into their dress, that may be the best solution.

Re: personal question...
I am a D Cup. I bought a strapless dress and I am wearing the body bra from Victoria Secret. It is the corset top not the smaller bra. It looks great and it is a demi cup.. It fits great and it looks great with the dress. I am sure you will be able to. Just make sure you have a good bra that fits correctly. If it fits correctly you should have no problem.. My dress designer is DEMETRIOS. Demetrios has a lot of great strapless styles.

Re: personal question...
i was in a bridal party - the dress was strapless and i wound up getting the best all in one at THE TOWN SHOP on bway on the upper westside in manhattan. the ladies are like 90 yrs. old and they carry everything you can imagine!
it's old school - they walk around with tape measures around their necks...
it was expensive but i loved it & totally worth it... it held me up all night and it made my dress fit better too!!

Re: personal question...
Abother vote for Mary's. It's on Woodbury Rd. My sister is built like you, and they have all kinds of bras there. And if the dress is cut right, it won't make a large chest look bad, maybe even good. I hope so, because I am putting my large chest into a strapless, and all my BM's. LOL.

I am also DD and when I was trying on dress (I got a strapless Maggie Sottero) they put me in one of those corset thihgs that held them up high and looked great!! I will definitely be buying one of those for the wedding - not just a regular strapless bra.

The Flattering me longline bras are made for girls like us with big tata's! Bridal Reflections sells them as well as some corsettieres.

I am a DD-DDD with a medium frame - I just couldn't do the strapless thing, I got a dress with a a tank type top - I didn't want to be preoccupied all day thinking if they were falling out or whatever!
thats what i wanted -tank top style and most places said that they dont carry many

Re: personal question...
I am a DD and I wore strapless bra 4 years ago at a wedding and the damn thing held me in good.
I can't remember the brand though. I just ran to see if I could find it but I can't.
Go to Mary's Corsetterie. I have yet to go but people on the board rave about her store. They might be able to help.
I like the Maggie Sottero dresses that bustle up in the back. Extra support maybe. I was leery of getting a strapless dress (although now I wish I did) because of my priest - he said something about it in passing the first time I met with him and I wasnt' sure what he meant but to be on safe said I got sleeveless...it's better than strapless I guess.

Dawn, I got mine in Brooklyn. It is a store called Olga's. But I am sure most bra stores will carry it. The style# is ...689. I am a 36DD but they carry it in sizes as well.Good luck. Andrea
