Re: PERSONALIZATION QUESTION
I was thinking about this yesterday when I was looking to order informal fold overs for engagement thank yous. I think the bride's name goes first on things you personalize as an unmarried couple. Once you are married, the groom's name goes first. So, on your cake knife, or anything else that you will have or use once you are married, the GROOM's name goes first.

Re: PERSONALIZATION QUESTION
I still think that you use the Bride's name before you get married and Groom's name after. I am looking at all of my X-mas cards from couples and the husband's name is first, just as it is when you write 'Mr. and Mrs. So-in-so.'
