Personalized Calendars.......

I just came across this. I love it, I think its so unique to give our to your guests at your wedding. What do you guys think? Only question is, if I do order these, do I make the calendar for the year 2009 bec my wedd is in mid 2008??

i absolutely LOVE this as a favor.

why don't you start the calendar with the month after your wedding? and then you'll end it with your one year anniversary. i don't know where you are ordering them from, but when i made calendars on shutterfly i was able to start w whatever month i wanted, and i was able to fill in whatever info i wanted on whatever date. so you could write 'our first anniversary' on your wedding date at the end of the calendar year. that would be cute!

I completely agree! I reeeally like this idea and I think I might want to do it now but one question: Do you think it's a bit narcissistic? Do you think the guests will be like, 'who the h*** do they think they are??
If not, I 'd definitely want to do this too, it's so unique and personal..

haha I dont care, hahahah. I thought about that but my family loves calendars, they have them EVERYWHERE, I think they will appreciate it.

At weddings, people have pics everywhere, on the frames so the guests can sign them, in the guestbooks, on the plasma screens, etc etc. I dont think thats bad to have you and FH's pic everywhere. We are celebrating love and being together and pics are a great way to share IMO

Edit: They are a bit pricey on this site but I am sure there are other places that can design one for you for less or you can DIY

I plan on giving a personalized calendar to FH before he leaves for Japan in July. So every month on the calendar will be a countdown till when he comes home and I wanted to start it from July of 2007-July of 2008 (the year he is there for)

where did you find something like this- cause everytime i find a place to do it...i cant personalize anything on a specific date and i also cant have a pic and writings on the top of the month just a pic or just a writing...

yeah i have planned to do this since i found out in Jan that he was being deployed to Japan...so I thought this would be a perfect idea for him- especially since we always hvae silly little countdowns till we see eachother!!

If you dont want your pics everywhere, you can do other pics, like the beach, season etc etc and just have your names on each month, another good idea if you dont want your personal pics on there

oh trust me i dont mind, people wanna put our pics up go ahead hahaha...im just saying what others have said about weddings they've attended. Like i said close family and friends will like it...but i thought about a few of the weddings ive attended recently...They were people FH knew, one couple i met them the first time 2 days before the wedding when we got to Florida. So i wouldn't put up pics of any of those couples, no offense to them but i dont really know them. Maybe a handfull of people whose pics ill actually put up lol.

Dont take this the wrong way at all, i know youre looking at it from your perspective...but imagine being a guest at a wedding and as a favor you get pics of the couple, people are gonna be like uhmmm ok this is my gift pics of you? They'll look at it in a negative way...Im just telling you bc i know people who have done these type of things and people had alot to say.

It is a very cute idea and think you should get it for yourself
