personalized lighters

i was in a funk, earlier this morning. thanks to the wonderful women on liw, i got myself out of it.... time to put the finishing touches on this puppy!!!!!

one of the tips given to me, was to create a list of what i still have to do. this reminded me of something i wanted to do.

now, i have a question.

does anyone know where i could get about 80 personalized lighters. cigarette lighters.

let me preface this with.... MY FH CANNOT KEEP A SECRET TO SAVE HIS LIFE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
my fh is going to surprise me at the wedding by singing a song. he used to sing with the band that will be playing at our wedding.

so i wanted to one-up him. i want to pass out lighters, so that everyone could light them while he's singing. my way of 'ha-ha' but without ruining his moment.

any help will be greatly appreciated.

tia

Re: personalized lighters

thanks for the replies.

i had, on many previous occassions, googled and 'ebay-ed' this search and to no avail.

i guess the liw gods needed me to come here and ask before trying again. i searched one more time. i found an ebay vender, but it's in lots of 200. i don't need that many. so i sent a message requesting only 80.

keep your fingers crossed that i get an ok.

beaviss80, thanks for liking my cooky idea

I'm not sure how expensive you want to go on the lighters or if you are trying to do it the least expensive way.

If you wanted to go inexpensive, you could get those cheap lighters in a color closest to your wedding color. (You know those plastic lighters that come in a million colors??)

If you really wanted, you could even make labels on the computer for them.

If you're looking to go with engraved lighters, then, well, I guess this wasn't very helpful!

Hmmm, this might be more trouble than it's worth, but... What about seeing if you could find a computer label big enough to cover the entire lighter so that you'd only see the color if you looked at the bottom?

You could print custom labels and wrap them around the entire lighter. Then you could get the cheap disposable lighters at Sam's Club in multiple colors and not have to worry about the colors. You'd just need thick enough labels, which shouldn't be too hard. I think most computer labels would be thick enough to block out the color on those clear plastic lighters.

I do wonder, however, if the labels on the lighers would pose a fire hazard... I can't imagine that it would, but it's something to keep in mind.

Did you check here - their minimums all look like 200 but maybe you can just call - a lot of places love that stuff. I know SOME vendors raise the price when they hear 'wedding', but vendors who don't normally deal with brides & weddings have all been excited about helping me do something unique, so maybe try calling them?
