I always see them during the coctail hour and at the bar...I haven't decided yet on ordering them...I am ordering matchbooks...still thinking about the napkins, but not sure how many I would order...I don't even know if people use them..??

i guess it depends on how many people your having.. napkins go so quickly at the bar.. i would say double the people that are coming. just to be on the safe side

they usually say to order 2-3 napkins per guest .. thats what we did, and honestly I have no idea if that was a good amount, because i didn't even get to see one!

I actually ordered 250 from ebay today..came out to be like 35 bucks. i think i might order a few more even though i think thats enough to keep at the bar just for the cocktail hour. I dont want/need them for the reception

someone on here said that she was told to get 10 per guest .. which for me would be like 1400 napkins!!! Sounded like way too many. I think I am going to get some just to the bar .. maybe for the bar in the cocktail hour too - and I was thinking about 600. Depends on price. If it's too much, I will just get them for the bar during the reception and get like 400.

I think that the napkins are a cute touch for coctail hour, but there isn't any more smoking in halls, so maybe if you are deciding between the two, the napkins would be more practical.

Wow, that's alot of napkins 10 per guest! I think it's meant to be more cute than practical...I'm sure if they run out, the reception hall will have more napkins to provide...I was thinking about 200-300

What????? For a guest list of 200, I'd say get 200. Not everyone gets a drink during coctail hour, nor grabs a napkin. The RH will have regular napkins around too.

Dana that is an awesome price, I will have to look at ebay! I just wan enough to make sure everyone sees them. I think i will get them just for either the reception or cocktail hour .. not sure which!

we're going to order 100 b/c I just want them as a cute touch. Most weddings I've been to that had them at the CH had a TON of them at the end of the cocktail hour but they didn't move them to the bar in the reception so I figure a few is good enough.
the RH will have more napkins to put out for practical use

I remember going to weddings with my Nana when I was younger, in Pennsylvania, where the cake was cut and wrapped in the personalized napkin for guests to take home.
I don't know if this happens in other areas or states, or since the wedding cake is such a popular choice to be served as dessert??
I personally like them for cocktail hour! They look cute!

Totally agree! We are ordering 100, they add a pretty detail to the cocktail hour, the reception hall napkins are fine as well.

if you go to oriental trading, they have them super cheap and they even have ones shaped like hearts!!!
