Personalized Wedding Hanger

Personalized Wedding Hanger

For anyone who was thinking of getting one (or already did) - you may already know this, but I did not. If you want a hanger that is all metal, you can't hang your dress on it I didn't know this until this week, and now it is too late to buy one with the wood. The metal hangers are too flimsy to hold the dress. My salon told me on Saturday and I wasn't sure I believed them, but then even my photographer told me when I met with him on Tuesday. The weight of the dress pulls the hanger down and misshapes it

Have you tried to reach out to Suzie from this site? Not sure if she still does the hangers, but maybe she can do it on time for you for the wedding. She's so good at it!!

even if you do it just for a minute or two for the pics? I've seen so many of those pictures!!!

My dress is pretty light, so i'm hoping it works! Can you try to reinforce it with something??

Nope, the dress pulls it right down and it gets all bent out of shape Photographer said only way he can do it is put the dress on the hanger and not hang it - just lay it down.

It is not too late to get one! I ordered one for my friend (Marilyn - the Bride... I am MOH) at the last minute as a surprise gift for her wedding

I ordered it on a Friday....it was literally on my doorstep on Monday! He did a great job. The only thing is that the wire was bronze...not the silver color i have seen most brides do. It was beautiful!

It was from etsy vednor - einspanner. And also $30 total, including the shipping

Good Luck!

I wish I would have told you as I did post this a while back. Yes, it is true. The hangers pull down right away and bend. You can order a plain hanger and have it reinforce it in the back. You can also put the dress on a chair so it holds most of the weight and then the photos can be taken at the top or to conceal the chair. Talk to your photographer. It can be done. I was on the fence and in the end ordered the wood ones. They say the metal ones only hold up to 5 lbs! Sorry lady!

I don't understand why they would sell the wire ones though if you can't hang anything heavy on it.

I ordered from the original maker, LilaFrances, and it indicates no more than 5 lbs. Some dresses are very light but any beading or lace and its over. It is actually called a lingerie hanger which would be fine. I ordered a wood one and I was fine. :(
