Re: petal cones???
I used doillies (sp?). I'm guessing that the petals should be placed in the cones the same day of your wedding.

Re: petal cones???
I just finished making mine! I will try to post pics later. I use doilies as well. I am buying the roses a day or 2 before the wedding, taking off all the petals and keeping them in the fridge. then that morning they will be put into the cones. My florist wanted to charge me alot to do it but maybe your florist can even do this for you.

Re: petal cones???
I bought 12x12 scrapbooking paper at Michaels. My sister and then cut it into 6 inch squares. We used glue to hold it together. We just rolled with paper into a cone until it looked the way we liked and then used that one as a template. I also embossed the top corner of it.
Our florist put the petals into the cones on the day of the wedding.
Also- If you do it yourself, make sure that the paper isn't too hard (like cardboard) because then it is too hard to work with. And it is A LOT of work. My sister was a real trooper to help me with this. It was a whole evening of rolling, pasting, embossing and wine. (We made 80 of them)
