Re: petal drop?

also i am reading now.. googling.. having people toss petals during the first dance.. since i am having ceremony indoors at reception hall no one will be throwing anyhting afterwards..

from ceiling or toss during first dance? we plan on taking dance lessons and flying across the room -will people trying to throw petals at us be distracting? will my reception hall appreciate the mess? will they take out a broom and sweep during dinner or would rose petals remain all night?

fake or real rose petals?

I have never heard of this before! Do the petals fall from some sort of contraption from the ceiling or are people tossing them? I dunno if I would like my guests throwing petals at me while im dancing. They will be throwing some sort of object at us when we leave the church (we havent decided what they will be throwing at us at the church yet).

I have seen the petal drop, basically its petals being held up by screening (almost like tulle) above the aisle in the church, when you are pronounce a cord is pulled which opens the screening and drops petals down the aisle. It needs to be rigged to work properly. I think that it was beautiful but a mess to clean up. I dont know if the RH would allow you to do it, Im sure they will but the rest of the night there will be petals all over the place which after a certain amount of time will become slippery, I dont know how smart it would be to do it at the beginning of your reception.

I would think about it a little more
