We are looking for antiquey looking pieces for our house and someone told me there's a place in Huntington called Peter Andrews that does all reproductions (hence less expensive). Also, I heard there's a warehouse in addition to the store - does anyone know anything about it? Just wondering if its worth it.

I have been to the one in Huntington and Williston Park. I think they have some unique stuff and there prices are reasonable. I would check them out. What in particular are you looking for?

I used to spend a lot of time there (Huntington location). I didn't know they had a warehouse though.
They often have tent sales...definitely keep your eyes peeled for that if you're interested in furniture.
Otherwise they're good for crystal & porcelein gifts, and tabletop items, but their furniture can get pricey.

Oh - I didn't know they had one in Williston Park - thats so much closer to where I live. I will definitely check it out.
I am specifically looking for a bookcase, coffee table, BR furniture and desk! I know its going to take some time but with so much $$ going towards the wedding, I'd like to be able to furnish my house too! So I thought this might be a good option.

Jenny - I have actually - and even garage sales in nice neighborhoods...but believe it or not I've been busy almost every weekend the last few months and haven't been able to make it to any. But I have three free weekends coming up (YAAAY!) and plan on doing that. Have you found alot at estate sales for your house?

Peter Andrews is also on Jericho tpke in Mineola and Home Goods has nice antique reproductions

jenny, no I haven't been to any yet. Same reasons. I was peeved...we just missed one at Coindre Hall last weekend.

i used to work at peter andrews! my very first job....a giftwrapper in the williston park location (that was the only one at that time) they do have some really good stuff! and if it's a gift and you need it wrapped - i'm your girl!!!
