Anyone having their pets in their wedding? both my mom and FH want our dog to be in the wedding...I have visions of him taking a dump in the middle of the church!
I love that idea....I want my cat part of the ceremony but FH hates the idea. He envisions hair all over his tux and holes in my dress from her claws.
However I am definitely going to try to have her part of the engagement pics though!

Re: Pets in Wedding?
My FMIL is insisting on how my FH 'brother' will be wearing a tux that day- but I don't think he'll be coming to the church. I keep thinking about the pooping in church too, or better yet, peeing on the train of my dress.

My girlfriend had her dog at her wedding, but it was on the beach. Check with your church...they may not allow it.

Re: Pets in Wedding?
We are so attached to our dog, and she is such a part of our lives that the wedding would not be compleete without her. Okay I sound like Im nuts but thye are truely your companion and child. So we plan on having a cousin pick her up from home a few minutes before the ceremony ends and have some pictures taken with her outside of the church.

Re: Pets in Wedding?
i wanted to have max in the ceremony as well.... but then i thought about it. we go to such lengths to make everything 'perfect' for the day so why would we invite a family member who can be completely unpredictable - are we nuts?!? also, my sister-in-law is allergic to dogs and i really don't want to make her miserable during the day. i will take pictures of me and my baby at home before leaving for the church though - need to have him part of the day somehow. i mean, with a face like this, who wouldn't?
my mom wants to dress up our cocker spaniel!! she is the cutest thing but i'm afraid she will pee on my dress if she gets too excited!!! LOL i want to make a wreath of flowers as her collar!!
FH really wants us to take a pic with my dog...so we need to figure something out!!

Re: Pets in Wedding?
my GF had a pic of her doggie on the altar!! and my SIL took pictures with the dog before she left for the church. there is a great one of the dog looking up at her in her dress and she's looking at him. it's a famous pic with the photographer (down in MD).

Re: Pets in Wedding?
I would love to have mine in the ceremony, but I also imagine them halfway down the isle, and then some rapid circling and then taking a nice dump!!!
I also can see them biting on my wedding dress and ripping it (they love to bite super long things, they think it's some kind of game).
My dog wasn't in the wedding but he left his mark...
When we picked up my dress two days before the wedding my Mom hung it up so it wouldn't wrinkle. My little shih tzu dog decided that the satin train would be a perfect place for a nap! My Mom noticed three little paw prints on the train later that day. She tried to clean them but she didn't want to ruin the dress. The paw prints were faint and you could barely see them. My Mom didn't want to tell me b/c she thought it would upset me. When I finally saw them I thought they were sooo cute! The prints were perfectly shaped. I even joked that we should outline them w/rhinestones since our dog wasn't coming to the wedding.
