Petsitters

Anyone have a recommendation of a pet sitter? I refuse to board my dog. I only need it for the day of my wedding.

Honestly I refused to board my dog too, until we found the PetSmart Hotel in Huntington! Its a real hotel for dogs, and has a front desk and everything! It is extremely clean, friendly, and accommodating! You can set up different packages for your dog EX-walks, treats, play groups etc! We used them 2x's so far and have been very happy!

I believe it was around 26.00 a day and then a package that includes treats, a toy, a walk, and play group was an extra 10.00! We actually left our dogs there the day of the wedding and then picked them up on the way home the day after!

I would like to know this as well. Perhaps I will give them a call tomorrow to find this out.

The put them in a small room with a blanket, pillow, toys and anything you bring for them from home! They have room to walk around, the doors are see through and I believe the top part is open (nothing covering it)! The rooms also come in different sizes depending on the size of the animal!

Please get pics. My family owns a kennel in Deer Park on Long Island Avenue.-Pet smart keeps they're boarding dogs in cages-we have had numerous employees come from there very unhappy. I would really like to see pics. If they won't let you see where all of the dogs stay-than there is a problem. $36 a night is a lot-we add all of the extras free. Who charges for extra time and love-only a big chain!!!

When I went to Petsmart before I left my dog there I asked specifically where the dogs are kept not only did they show me, but you can see the entire room where the animals are left from the main lobby through a glass window (every part of the room is visible to the public)! I did not see one small cage. Also all of the extra stuff they give you you get to take home with you (pillow, blanket, toys, snacks). Check them out before you make any decisions they allow you to do that before you book!
