Petty but still rrr! Linda's Lovlies & LIW Store

I know this is so little and petty but had to vent with you ladies and give you all a heads up just incase you run into a similar situation.

WEEKS ago, I ordered a couple of those heart shaped coffee scoops on this site from Linda's Lovlies with a note that I needed them by the first of June. I just needed a few for my sisters shower to use for scooping candy (having a candy bar for a favor). Anyway, I recvd conf. with a LIW header along with the vendors. 2 weeks go by and I had not rcvd the shipment so I e-mailed them back requesting the status. Nothing back. Today I called Linda's Lovlies directly and NOW they tell me that the order was never placed b/c it was only for a few of them. I can see it not being worth their time and that they require a minimum to order but NO WHERE DID IT STATE THAT when I ordered it OR when I recvd confirmation of the order.

So to all you ladies who in the future may order a small qty of stuff for your wedding, follow-up with the company directly instead of waiting around for weeks like me. Again this is so petty but sooooo PO'd.

UGH sorry to hear that! Feel free to vent away!! If you still need or want them, they were the favors at my shower and were bought at Patchogue Fantasyland.

That really stinks!! You have every right to be annoyed by that. If they don't state anywhere that there is a minimum to order they need to honor your order! I would make them and on top of that I would have them expedite the order! Oh well, I guess alittle of my bridezilla is coming out!!! LOL

NOT PETTY! I would be mad, and now I am wondering because I JUST bought something from Linda's Lovelies THIS PAST WEEK! and it was only for 4 of an item!

what did you use to pay for it? your credit card? didnt' it go through on your credit card and didn't u get a confirmation email? i would defintely complain and tell them that your going to write a bad review on them for a newspaper u write for.

If you still need them you can walk into Wrap With Us and buy what you need. I'd call first to see if they have them in stock.

The warehouse is only open Thursday - Saturday 10 -6. It's in Syossett.

Thanks girls for listening and offering some suggestions. I currently live in Alaska, flying into NY tomorrow night for the shower that is on Sunday, so fortunately Fantasyland was on my Friday to-do list AND the candy I need to pick up is in Syosett so hopefully one of the two places you guys have suggested will have them. It just bothers me that no one cared to inform me. I paid by credit card and have not checked the statement yet. To make matters worse, when I called the woman was so not sympathetic. No apology or anything. Like it was my fault and I should have known. Sometimes I wonder how peple stay in business. Yes, my order was small BUT, I know lots of people getting married and word of mouth is the best form of advertising. Businesses should be a little more concious of that, especially the small shops.

YOu got a letter..CONFIRMING THE ORDER...and then they never placed it...

IMO that is not petty THEY ARE 100% WRONG

You are so right! I am so sorry to hear that. good thing you posted, I am sure so many girls will reconsider orders because of this. That was so wrong, large or small order you are a customer!!

I ordered 4 of one item weeks ago- i recieved a confirmation from LIW- but nothing from her store... so after seeing this thread and being a bit concerned, I emailed the store asking about the order. They got back to me and told me that the order # was from LIW and not from their store so she would have to get back to me... WELL- 4 emails later- STILL NOTHING! In my opinion, this store/this woman is completely unprofessional! This is the only vendor I have had issues with in my wedding planning so far- and hopefully my last!

Ugh! I cannot believe it. I also got FM from another unhappy customer of hers. How much of a part does LIW play with fullfilling orders. Maybe we need to inform them of this problem. It's not right that we order stuff on this site and never recv the product with no word from the company at all. That is just horrible business!!!

I ordered my invites and Favors from her and she was nothing but the best

But I did not order online I went directly to her and placed my order and got a reciept the same day

Im NOT surprised- they SUCK!

I called got her DIRECTLY AND ORDERED THE POLAROID GUEST BOOK AND THE GUEST SIGN IN PICTURE FRAME AND SHE NEVER CALLED ME BACK!!!!! SO I ORDERED THE BOOK FROM ADESSO AND NEVER FOUND THE PICTURE FRAME--

TOTALLY BAD BUSINESS!!!!!!

I ordered a heart shaped cake cutter and server from the store like a month ago and I havent received it yet! When I called they said that they are on back order....so I have no idea when they will be arriving!
