Pew Bows...

Is it cheaper to make pew bows yourself or let the florist do that? Does anyone know of any web pages, or books that show you how to make your own??? Thanks!

eBay has tons. I contacted a wonderful women from eBay and she is going to make me custom bows to make my colors and what I want the style to be. They are much cheaper on eBay and very easy to get. One hint (that the vendor told me) do not order them too early. Contact the seller and tell her that you love her pew bows and will she be having more. Give her your wedding date. My vendor told me that you do not want them crushed or ruined so if you order them 6-9 months early you will need to keep them perfectly flat, very carefully packaged and not move the box around. Just a hint. The florist always charges a lot for these. But I did not ask Burton's so I am not sure what they charge. Also, I am only doing the first 4 rows (both sides) then every other row for a few pews back. Total of 16-18 bows. You do not have to do every single row or all of them either.

See the message I posted yesterday about the pew bows I just received from a seller on ebay. I paid $5 per bow, when I was quoted $10 each from the local florist for a plain satin bow. I plan on getting more from the ebay seller...I am going to use the white bow/white rose for teh first few pews, then the white bow/pink rose for the next few pews. They look as good or better than the pictures on ebay.
