We'll have tall candles which are put up by the church ... I'm unsure about decorating furthur.
What is everyone doing for pew decorations?

Do you mean those gold standing pedestals with the candles in side of a glass? My church does the something similar during Lent-when my wedding falls. I thought of placing something around the gold pedestal. Not sure what though. Probably a bow. If the church allows it.

Sounds similiar, they put them up for Easter & Christmas. I was just wondering if adding more would be too much ....
What would you use for the families rows?

I want to have a floral pew arrangement for the first two sets of pews. Bridal Party, parents, important folks... Then for the remaining ones, satin bows w/ stands. No stand just the bow. During last year's Lent it looked really nice with the candle stands by themselves. Since my church is very woody, it adds to the minimal lighting in the church so at this point I am not sure what I would do with the other pews. Definitely depends on the church.

I'm going to do something like this for the first couple of pews and then maybe bows for the rest.
ddune - that looks great! Our budget is tight these days, but maybe a silk version would work.

Are you thinking of pew decorations? As you know, I'm getting married there the week after Easter, so I believe they leave the candles up through Pentecost. I was thinking I would just leave the candles as the main pew decoration. I was thinking bows, but thought the candles alone would be more elegant and kind of 'go' with St. Brigid's!
Of course now you gotta let me know what you decide!
Oh, and what did you decided about after the ceremony...anything? Mary
